Marius died sometime today or yesterday but I knew it was going to happen.
I haven't really been taking very good care of my fish lately. I haven't been feeding them very often and they've just been sitting in the corner of my room, just sitting.
They were both mopey and depressed and the other day I noticed Marius had Dropsy, which when his abdomen becomes inflamed and his scales stick out like a pinecone. It wasn't very pretty...
So yeah, he got flushed today.
I've had him since early May I think, so *almost* a year. Which is really good considering my last fish only lasted a couple months.
Marius was always the more submissive. When Plato would spazz out and try to attack him through the glass marius would calmly swim away.
I'm giving Plato away because if I'm not going to take care of him he might as well go to someone who will.
So a teacher is coming to pick him up this evening and I'm sure he'll be better off in the classroom with lots of kids to give him attention.
I guess my betta phase has ended.

Those fish should be lasting longer than that... I grew up with tropical fish in the house, it is a pretty fine art keeping them. And as for marine fish: they are another level!! Presently I just keep a hamster in my fishtank. It's a lot easier and no water is involved. If I moved somewhere more proper, yes I'd definitely get tropical fish... I do a blog too: if you want to drop by I'm at gledwood2.blogspot.com, you're most welcome. It is very different to yours though!
All the Best now

Well yeah they are pretty easy to take care of and last a while but I was being lazy and without care they don't do so well.
reminds me of a line from a hippie-song
*we let the goldfish go*
