I have to say, I absolutely LOVE Ashley Tisdale's hair.
For those of you who dont know, Ashley is a teen popstar/actress. She's best known for being in The Highschool Musical (which i still havent seen) and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
But her hair is really pretty.
And in the tv show, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, they do just about anything and everything with her hair.
I have had problems with long hair in the past. Maybe it was the whole grown out bangs thing but... Maybe I should talk to somebody who knows about hair and ask how to keep my hair nice like hers.
Of course Im not a popstar and I dont have people to do my hair every day ;)

Speaking of hair, almost all of my red dye washed out :(
i dont know what happened....

Isn't Ashley Tisdale like, 20 or 21? I know she's kinda old.
Well to be on the disney channel anyway.
You gotta have a lot of patience to keep your hair looking like that. It can take hours.
I thought she was 17 or 18
but apparently she's 22.. o_O
i had no idea...
but still...
I feel your pain about the red hair color fading!
All hair color fades to a degree; however, red fades the fastest. The reason is that red hair color contains the smallest of hair color molecules. They penetrate the hair shaft easily and escape just as easily every time you wash your hair. (I guess that makes them the Jack Bauer of hair color molecules!) Color also stays longer in hair that is more porous (absorbable). Straight hair is the least porous and curly hair the most. To make hair more porous usually involves some type of chemical processing (i.e. bleaching, perming, etc.) to open up the hair shaft. Unfortunately, this is costly and is best left to the pros at a salon...also upkeep can be a real pain!
There are some things you can do to prevent the red from fading quite so fast. Take some tips from someone who knows:
1. Avoid over washing your hair. If possible, wash every other day.
2. Avoid washing hair in hard water, which will strip the color faster than anything else, and use warm water, not hot.
3. Use a shampoo for color treated hair. These shampoos have a lower pH so that color is not stripped out as much as the cheaper shampoos. There are also pigmented shampoos and conditioners that deposit color molecules back into your hair every time you use them.
4. Avoid the sun. Sun will bleach the hair. Try a hat or a leave-in conditioner for protection from UV rays.
5. Avoid pool chemicals, i.e. chlorine. These have the potential to not only strip the color from you hair, but possibly change it to a different color...like green!
6. Hot oil treatments and hairspray also fade color.
BTW...A lot of this is hair knowledge that I've gained over the last 15+ years, some by trial and error.
I guess being "old" like me has it's benefits!
thanks for all the advice! :)
