Why, at this time of the year, does it seem everyone talks about Cinco de Mayo and how they celebrate and everything?
Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican holiday. And you don't hear about Mexico celebrating July 4th.
So why does it seem like tons of Americans celebrate a Mexican holiday?

The same reason they celebrate St. Patrick's Day. It's an excuse to drink beer.

my kids even celebrated at their "lutheran" school. party, pinata, mexican treats!!
