American Girl camp week number one is over.
Monday we made dream catchers. I dont like mine because since the girls were 10 they didnt teach the *real* way to do it. and i hate mine. so.... anyways. We made dream catchers and played some games. That was about it for that day.
tuesday we went for a hike and walked in the creek.
Wednesday they kept saying "Emily's bringing the horses at 1:30" and I was thinking "I wish i had a trailer full of horses to show you guys"
turns out, emily is a little old lady who is in a horse club for retired women and two of her friends came by too with their horses.
She asked me if I would like to hold her horse while she talked to the kids and I was thinking "You have no idea!" Its sad how much i wanted to stand there and hold a rope attached to a horse. I was a little bit nervous because i didnt know him and he didnt know me so it was slightly awkward but... so they did their thing and went on a trail ride after they were done talking to us and we started on our leather medicine bags.
today we went to a Voyager (voy-uh-zjere?) thing at a lake where two "french" guys (Jean Petite -the tall guy- and Pierre Shorthair -the guy with the long hair :P) took us on a huge voyager canoe and we all got to paddle around this huge lake, it was so much fun. And we sang french songs and heard french stories and canoed around :P we learned about how the voyagers would have lived and stuff. It was cool. I've always loved interactive re-enactment stuff.
Then we were out in the sun all day (about 9:30-4) and so im sunburned all over. :P but it was fun.
Saturday is a Pow-wow which i am really excited about. We'll get to hang out with the dancers and talk to them and stuff. The sleep over at the stables is *next* saturday but it goes to sunday so... i dunno. I didnt realize it went to sunday.
