"Jealousy is all the fun you think they had" - Erica Jong

There's this band called G-Force. They're made up of three little girls and their dad. The 5 year old plays drums, the 8 and 9 year olds play bass and guitar and sing.
Apparently everyone thinks they're really great and so amazing. They were on the radio and played some songs and they were even on TV because they are so amazing.

My point is not that I don't think these guys are all that great.

I've sort of had this fantasy in my head about how great it would be to be in a band. You'd have a somewhat tight circle of friends and you could just play music and hang out with your band mates. I don't necessarily want to be famous or anything, but having a band would be cool.
And here are these little kids sweeping Ohio off its feet or something.
One day when the girl's vocals get better and they get better with their guitars, they probably will be great. And then they'll move on to bigger things.
(Or they'll get interested in other things and disapear forever.)

I guess its easier for them because they're all sisters and their dad has been teaching them stuff since they were 2.
Me on the other hand, I don't have the patience to teach myself instruments and my siblings can't play instruments either. And the small number of friends I have live far away and I dont think any of them play any instruments either.

So it is just a fantasy, for now at least. It's just frustrating when everything you want is so far away and other people are already achieving it at the age of 5.
