If it wasn't so freaking cold I would've fallen asleep. :P
Basically I get a huge stack of papers each day i work.
And I take them and sit down at the database and put in a few letters of the last name and first initial.
Then I check to see if there are duplicates and write those down.
Then do the same with the address.
Check for duplicates, fix anything that isn't right (like if Apartment isn't abbreviated)
and THEN put phone number in and check and look for duplicates.
check off the ones i looked at.
move on to the next one.
And thats about it.
Today when I finished almost everybody had left...
And since im new and the building is huge, i was afraid of getting lost.
That place was empty.
So I saw my dad's boss was in his office and figured he should know how to get to my dad's office. :P so he helped me out and i hung out in the basement with my dad playing around online and doing a little schoolwork.
(got stuck on those radical symbols.... it didnt make any sense at all to me)
And tommorow i do it all over again. Preferably without the almost getting lost part...

How was it?
Welcome to the adult world. Most all jobs include repetition and boredom. It's why we get paid for it. Sometimes you'll get lucky and get a job that is interesting, exciting and a joy to do. Some people are even so blessed that they would do their work for free. But mainly, you get paid for repeating the same thing over and over.
So, do you have your paychecks planned other than the concert tickets?
it was good as far as work goes :P a little boring but thats about it.
I am saving for a car i think...
or clothes...
or both.
Boring and repetative does tend to happen at work. I'm sure you'll do a great job and come out of there with a stellar letter of recommendation when it is time for you to move on.
As I've been known to say more than once: If it was too much fun, they wouldn't need to pay you.
Congrats.
