Today was the contest.
First was the little kids. They had to eat 2 Handels ice cream dip things, basically a scoop of ice cream in quarter of an inch of chocolate.
The older kids had to eat 3.
The teens had to eat 4.
Timmy won his age group, Jake almost won but got second place.
And I was GONNA win. :P

I was the only girl in my group (age 15-17)
And the other contestants were 3 rather large guys. I sat down at the end of the table next to the smallest guy and received my four wrapped up ice cream things.
I was shaking. I have to admit I have a passive competitive edge. I don't show it or brag or make a huge deal about stuff, but I like to win. I mean, who doesn't?
We started and I was SHOVING those things in my mouth.
My downfall was the 5 inches of chocolate in my little (the dentist said so himself!!) mouth.
Plus I have two loose molars so in the back of my mind i was worried about them falling out in the huge wad of chocolate in my mouth and i would swallow them or bite down on them or something. The lady kept saying "Come on guys! you cant let this poor girl beat you!" and "You're gonna get beat by a girl!!" ANd everyone was cheering and the volunteer kid sitting by me at the end of the table was rooting for me too, it was great.
Last minute the largest guy (he wasn't obese, just large) at the table pulled ahead and i was slowing down -too much chocolate. So he won... but I was pretty close. :P I didnt want to swallow too much because i didnt want to choke and die at an ice cream eating competition ;) But it was fun, and I'll probably be in the paper tomorrow because the guy from the Plain Dealer seemed to be taking a lot of pictures of me :P so... I will scan it and post it if my picture IS in the paper tomorrow. I'm sure it will be quite flattering ;) A 15 year old girl shoving ice cream and chocolate into her face, what could be more attractive? ;D
But anyways, my mouth hurt, my teeth were still intact and I was a loser but it was fun anyways.

Woohoo! The only girl, and you almost one! You should get a medal or something. :)
Haha! Us who know you wouldn't have expected any less of our Em. That is awesome! Way to go for going as gone as you went! :D :D
I'm not a girl (obviously), but I am skinning, and I've had fun a couple times winning eating contests against bigger chaps. :D
