Movie Review: Shooter

Title: Shooter
Genre: Action
Rating: R (language, violence)
Starring: Mark Wahlberg
I give this movie 8.5 out of 10 stars.

Army sniper, Bob Lee Swagger, goes off to live by himself in the mountains after a mission goes wrong.

For 36 months he hunts and raises his own food and doesnt depend on anyone else. Then one day some important people try to find him. They know he's the best sniper around and they claim that there is going to be an attempt on the president's life and they need him to figure out if it can really be done, and if so, how.

Without giving too much away, Bob gets framed and teams up with FBI reject Nick Memphis to get justice.

There was a bit of swearing in this movie but not enough to take away from it, like a Jet Lee movie we saw (Inside Man) when the swearing was just random and awkward. But some people are picky about swearing so I'm just putting that out there.

I really liked the plot. It was very interesting and a new kind of movie you haven't really seen before. Mark Wahlberg is a great actor and did a really good job. I found it ironic that his last name was Swagger, because there were a few scenes where they did the slow motion thing and he was swaggering away the scene. :P

The only thing was that it was a little hard to follow at some points and I got a little confused but I think I figured it out, lol. And the ending was a little bit of a cliff hanger but I guess they wrapped everything up that they really needed to.

I recommend this movie, but not for little kids because of the swearing and the violence.
