Weekend Update Part I

Friday we went to Clay's Park Resort for our school picnic.
As soon as we get out of the van, they start blaring the chicken dance.
I'm like "what the--?"
That was not the worst of it.
They continued to play Barney, the Hokey Pokey, and other things like that. Plus, they had an obsession with the Beach Boys.
Needless to say the music was a disaster.
There were crafts though... I made a key ring that says "Santi"
If I'd been thinking, i could've made it a necklace or something ;P but i wasnt thinking. oh well.

I saw my History teacher (technically my ex-history teacher) and talked to him for a while. I answered a question to get some candy which was fun.
My question was
"You are seperated from your group in the woods. Whats the first thing you do?
1) walk around and orient yourself
2.) hunt for food
3) stay put and wait for help
4) -- something i cant remember-- "

Obviously #3 was correct.
We also chatted with him later and found out his wife had just had a baby earlier this month. He gave me a little business advice, told me what he'd been working on over the summer and told me to email him this year and let him know how I'm doing.

Other than that it wasn't as good as I had hoped.
It was a bit unorganized and since its a school online, no one knows what the other students look like so... we just had 1,000 ignoring each other listening to crappy music.
I was disappointed because i had hoped to meet at least one kid I knew.
But of course I didn't know who to look for.

So my dad and i agreed on a few things to do better next time:

1. No music.
2. Separate the tables for "kids going into sophomore" or "kindergarten" so the kids aren't ignoring each other.
3. Name tags!

Guess what I found out?
Daughtry was playing at the very same park the day later.
AND MXPX!!!!!!11 >_<
Gah.
So I looked up the bands that were playing on FRIDAY and i didn't recognize any of them... We saw a band though. Walking. really, because they do that. :P I have no idea who they were. They weren't Daughtry, and all the other bands look the same. Needless to say I would've preferred the concert to the picnic but oh well. We left about 30-45 minutes after the concert started so... there werent a lot of people or anything but... i dunno...

Joshua loved to play in the water though, he didnt want to leave.

later we stopped by Wendy's and the lady was really getting on my nerves. Maybe I was just crabby or something but she was being all slow and kept messing up and it was annoying.

After that we went out for some ice cream at Mitchell's which i have never been to before. The ice cream was good but REEEAAAALLY expensive.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Daughtry came to my town 2 months ago, and it was bad. I mean he was a super big jerk, and the music stunk really bad. So be very thankful that you missed that nightmare.
