Movie Review: The Lake House
Title: The Lake House
Genre: Romantic Drama
Rating: PG-13 I think, not sure
Starring: Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves
I give this movie seven out of ten stars.
Kate Forster leaves her beloved lake house to move to the city when she gets a job as a doctor at a hospital. She leaves a letter in the mail box for the next tenant and goes on her way.
After a particularly stressful day, she goes to take a break from life and goes back to the lake house, only to find another letter in the mail box from someone but not who she expected it to be from.
The letter was from Alex Wyler, who lived in the house before Kate did. Alex is living two years in the past. They keep in touch for a long time, eventually falling in love with each other. But the time gap makes Kate uneasy and she decides to cut things off with Alex, telling him never to write her again.
It was a pretty good movie, in my opinion, there were a few inconsistencies that didnt really make sense but I liked it. I would recommend at least seeing it, if you like dramatic, romantic type movies. I dont know if I would watch it over and over though.
