Harry Potter And The Order of the Pheonix

We went to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix last night.
That was the longest book of the series, and the shortest movie so far.
So i was nervous. But they took what they had and did very well, I thought.

My favorite character was Luna Lovegood. The actor was amazing, she was exactly how I imagined her in the books. She was wonderful. Luna was already a favorite of mine, since she reminded me of myself the first time I read her description (only maybe not as loony?)

The woman who played Umbridge mastered the "heh-hem" little girly cough quite well but she didn't look the part. Just like the actor who played Lupin however, she didnt exactly look the part but she played the part very well. The kitten plates in her office were a little... disturbing?
They were cute but it was really freaky, lol.

They did a wonderful job with Grawp, I was impressed.
But since they were so pressed for time they didn't go into a lot of detail about most stuff.
Kreacher was pretty good too.

Anyways, they did a great job with the time limit they had. It was very good.

Harry Potter Movie Confusion

Somewhere I read that it was coming out the 13th. Well turns out it really came out the 11th.
So my mom asked if i wanted to go today.
I said sure.

So we got our snacks from drug mart and headed to the theatre. I was expecting it to be packed.
And it was. I had a feeling it was going to be sold out.
And it was.
So I wasn't as disappointed as I might've been if we'd been standing in line for hours, for example.
The only thing I'd stand in line for hours for is great seats to a great concert. :P
Sorry Harry Potter.

So I guess its time for PLAN B.
Which is basically go in a week or two when no one is there.
That's fine with me, i like not having annoying people around ruining it for me. But we were all ready to go today. Oh well.
I will see it eventually...

Movie Review: Pirates of the Caribbean, At World's End

Title: Pirates of the Caribbean, At World's End.
Genre: Action, with a dash of comedy
Rating: PG-13
Starring:
Johnny Depp
Orlando Bloom
Kiera Knightly
Geoffrey Rush
Chow Yun-Fat
Bill Nighy
I give this movie 10/10 stars

If you enjoyed the first two Pirates movies you will LOVE this one.
We last left our beloved pirates in Tia Dalma's hut. The motley group agreed to go to the Ends of the Earth to find Jack Sparrow and bring him back.

Along the way we have watched our characters develop.
Elizabeth Swann the proper lady and William Turner, the anti-pirate blacksmith have both transformed in swashbuckling pirates, getting sucked into the adventure.
Jack Sparrow however, is still Jack.

The third installment of the series was the best of them yet. Full of captivating adventure, humor, backstabbing and deception with a few twists and turns, this movie won't LET you get bored in the total of approximately 3 hours it runs.
We learn more about Davey Jones and the other pirates of the seas that we haven't met until now.
Love is in the air, but for whom?
I highly recommend this movie, I dont care if you havent seen the other two movies yet, there's no time like the present :P
This movie will definately be on my christmas list.
Johnny Depp is amazing like always, Kiera Knightly brings a surprisingly well performance for my first impression of her, Orlando Bloom is just Orlando Bloom but isnt so much of a sissy in this movie :P The acting is great, so is the plot. The creativity with the whole Ends of the Earth theory is amazing, and the costumes are awesome.
I can't wait to find out if there will be another addition.

Our fates were always intertwined....

Yesterday my mom emailed me (from a whole ten feet away through the wall :P) and she asked if I wanted to go to the movies.
After a short discussion I agreed I did and we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

I spent 45 minutes trying to figure out how to get Jack Sparrow's tattoo off of a picture on to my arm and finally gave up and drew my own tattoos :P
A sun on my wrist

a heart on my shoulder

and a BLACK SPOT OF DEATH on my palm :D

I already had on my Jack Sparrow t-shirt ;) And I put on my Davey-Jones's key necklace and we were good to go.(Mine is not so pointy and smaller :P)

So we walked in after getting our tickets and lo and behold it's Josh Nichols! Holy cow, i had to do a double take :P
For those of you dont know, Josh Nichols is a character from the Disney Channel TV series Drake and Josh. Josh is a sort of heavy-set kid (sometimes... his weight seems to change around in different episodes) And he works... DUN DUN DUN at a movie theater.
So when I saw the tall guy with curly hair taking tickets I was kind of surprised.

My mom claims that he was "looking at me" and only glanced at her once but I was too distracted by the displays in the lobby to pay attention... I don't know how I would miss something like that. But ANYWAYS.

So we had a bit of time and we walked around the lobby looking at the displays. There was a life-sized Silver Surfer from the new Fantastic Four movie thats coming out.
There was also a (life-sized?) Simpson's couch with the whole family on it.
We got some popcorn and a soda (for the first time in my history of going to the movie theater) and then went to our assigned theater.
We walk in and the lights are already off and there's Ragetti running across the screen and then Barbossa! huh??
So we went back and found out the lady had given us the 5 o' clock ticket (it was about ten after when we got there) and we needed the 5:30. So we went back, sorted it all out and went to our theater again (#5)
There was NO ONE there. So we got the best seats. Second to last row, right in the middle.
Four other small groups showed up but other than that the place was empty. I love it when that happens :D

The movie was awesome, I'll be writing a review in a minute here :P
It was nice to get out of the house and have a break just me and my mom. She managed to get last night off of work so thats why we were able to go.
She said i shouldnt hold my breath for next week ;) I'll have to wait for Harry Potter to do it again :P

Go Wildcats!

Hey guess what was on Disney Channel tonight?
Highschool Musical :P
I hadn't seen it but i've heard good things about it...

It was okay I guess. Different than the normal genre of movie I would choose to watch. One thing I definately liked was in the end they got over their stereotyping and everybody was friends-ish. :P

All the stereotyping and stuff was starting to bug me.

But the music was catchy and the dancing too...
It was the "dance-a-long" so they showed you how to dance between commercial breaks.
It's not my favorite but it wasnt the worst I've ever seen either.

It was just a fun movie.
