Just Not Feelin' It, Dawg

We went snowboarding today because we have free passes. Timmy has been bugging us about it all weekend. When we got there I discovered I'd forgotten my hat. Probably because little people happen to like my hat and so it never made it in the dryer with everything else -- it ended up out of the way in my room where it won't attract attention to little eyes. And apparently big ones too.

We got our stuff and went outside. And I felt kind of awkward on my board. It just wasn't right. So I messed around with the bindings to try and see if that would help and it was just weird. I didn't feel comfortable with it and I didn't like the way it felt. So I went to go see if I could get a new one. Apparently "I dont like it" isn't a good enough reason to get a new board. And neither is "Well, it just feels weird." Because "all the boards are exactly the same" even though its kind of obvious they aren't since I was perfectly fine with the board I had last week. But whatever. Now I was in a bad mood because I hated my board and they wouldn't give me a new one plus I got the hat with cat barf on it that was laying around the car.

Then we went up Buttermilk. Which is the next hill up from the little hill. And I kept falling because something was up with my stupid snowboard. Everytime I would try to go in a straight line it was start turning or something, or one of the edges would come up and I'd trip over a clump in the snow. And the snow was so thin it was like landing on the sidewalk. It sucked. So after falling on my rear a couple times I had to start turning when I fell because it hurt REALLY really badly to just fall down on my bottom. This led to trying to rip my arm out of it's socket three times and that really hurt too.

Next we tried Peter's Pride. Which is the next hill up without getting to the black hills.
It was fine. Except I kept falling when i would try to go in a straight line for too long... Which led to landing on my knees really hard. And ripping my arms out of their sockets some more. Jacob managed to convince me to try out North Bowl. Because Jacob is some kind of a pro and loves going down steep hills in straight lines at top speed. North Bowl was a bad idea. It doesn't look steep but it is so i went back over to Peter's Pride. Because I am not a pro, Im a wimp with a bad attitude and a board that outs to get me.

So I finally was ready to take a break, if not call it quits. Before I fell and broke my behind for life or was crippled by smashing in my knee caps. I wasn't having "a totally rockin' time dude!" it was just okay. But at least I mastered the art of turning. When i wasn't falling down. The best part of the whole thing was the fact that we forgot lunch so we got McDonalds.

Side slipping, toe-side. Aka - backwards.
I did a lot of this.

There I go again.

Thinking about turning...

trying. Oh man. Im gonna fall.
