Movie Review: Transformers
Title: Transformers
Genre: Action, Thriller, Sci-Fi, Adventure
Rating: R; for some swearing and intense sci-fi scenes
Starring: Shia LeBeouf, Megan Fox, among several familiar faces.
I give this movie ten out of ten stars.
Sam Witwicky is the school loser. He's the kid trying to be cool but he's not quite there. One day his dad goes and buys him his first car. After some bizarre turns of events, the car ends up being an old, beat up Camarro.
Now that he has a cool car, Sam decided to try this "being cool" thing again. He ends up becoming acquainted with Mikaela Banes, the beautiful, newly ex-girlfriend of the leader of the cool kids.
One night Sam wakes up when he hears the engine of his car roaring to life and then disappearing as his car drives away. He thinks somebody stole it so he races out of the house and follows after the car -- only to find out his car is alive.
After a near-death experience with a robot parading as a police car, Sam meets the Autobots. The good guys, Optimus Prime, Jazz, and the rest of the crew. Sam and Mikaela are then filled in on why the robots are there and then they go through the whole fight between good and evil thing.
This movie has everything in it, boys on pink bicycles, soldiers on motorcycles, robots, humor, guns, the desert, everything. I thought it was really really good. Its an awesome movie with awesome special affects and graphics and I really recommend it.
