I had the most awesome photography project today xD
I had to paste my head onto someone else's body.
And they said I could use someone I admired.
SO.
I did Hayley Williams, lead vocalist of Paramore.

I KNOW i know, Im all pale and she's all orangey colored, lol
I couldnt figure out how to fix that.
My face is actually backwards because her head was tilted the opposite way mine was xD

Awesome-tastic

Today I got a friends request on Myspace from somebody I didn't know. So i clicked on the link and the little message with the request was something along the lines of "We cheekily used your photo for our new song Pushing Daisies" and blah blah blah. Huh? So I checked it out... and there was my picture of daisies on their song. Turns out they're an Indie band from the UK.

So I politely asked them if they would credit me for the picture and they were nice and said yes. C: And I'm now they're number one friend. Pshaw. That made my day.

The District of Columbia

So I'm back. I bet you didn't even notice I was gone. :P
But yeah I spent last week days traveling to, and being in, Washington D.C. It was a pretty interesting experience. There were about 80 kids on the trip, they split us up, girls on one bus boys on the other. The bus ride was probably the worst part. I don't mind the traveling part, I'm fine with sitting in a vehicle for a few hours enjoying the scenery, that wasn't the bad part. It was being stuck on a bus in the same seat with the same people around me for several hours that was getting to me. The girl behind me was gonna kill herself and fighting with her "best friend", the girl in front of me was obsessed with hobos, the girl diagonally from me was obsessed with buttresses and the girl next to me was as quiet as a mime or something and didn't talk at all... unless i tried to talk to her and then she'd say like one word. She might've said five words on the whole trip. Then there were the girls who were obsessed with one of the boys. They would not stop talking about him... it was really annoying. Oh and the girls in front of us for a few rows were constantly brushing their hair or talking on cell phones or putting make up on. Most of these kids are in eighth grade. o_O Somehow I stayed sane though. I think it was the stops for meals. We'd take over a McDonalds or something and hang out... that was cool. I like being around an assortment of different people but I like having space too. So yeah... anyways.



Monday after my orthodontist appointment we went to the drop off location at about 1:30 and stood outside in the wind for a while. When the buses finally got there we loaded everything and everyone on and we were off. We stopped at Central Station for dinner. That place was CRAZY. Oh my gosh, you would not believe... We got to the hotel at about ten thirty that night. In the morning we woke up at 6:30, which was kind of annoying after going to bed late and then not being able to sleep very well. Plus, the girl I had to share a bed with was hogging the whole thing and that really annoyed me. I get kind of crabby when girls that annoy me and that i dont know are all up in my personal space when im trying to sleep... but yeah, moving on. The first day we went to Arlington which was pretty cool for a cemetary. We got to see the changing of the guard too, which was kind of neat.


The weather was absolutely gorgeous at Arlington. It was a little chilly at first but when the wind died down it was beautiful out. Perfect for walking around and looking at stuff. Plus the cherry blossoms in D.C. were at their peak when we were there so that was pretty awesome too... and the scenery was awesome.

After Arlington we drove around and then went to the Washington National Cathedral which was pretty amazing. I got a gargoyle there and a candle for my mom. The gargoyle is cool, its like two inches high, its a little chimera. He's sitting on my computer. He pwns. Anyways, yeah, the cathedral. right. The stained glass windows were awesome, the architecture was beautiful and it was pretty neat to see.


After that we drove around for a while and stopped outside the white house. We couldnt actually see much of anything... it was kind of disappointing but oh well. And we walked back to the buses again. Yay.


there was so much stuff crammed in to one day I cant remember for the life of me what all we did that day. Which is kind of sad. But we did a lot in a small amount of time so bear with me okay?
We went on a guided tour of the monuments as the sun started to set. That was really cool. We saw the Lincoln Memorial, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, the WWI and II memorials and Vietnam i think...




After the monuments it was late so we went back to the hotel.
The third day we went to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. We were pretty rushed so we didn't get to see a lot of it... We saw the geological stuff, the diamonds and what not, the dinosaurs and the greek and egyptian stuff but that was it.

Then we went to Mount Vernon.



That was pretty cool... unfortunately it was cold and rainy and so my group unanimously decided to go inside and walk around in the visitors center as apposed to walking around and seeing everything in the cold. After that we changed into our nicer clothes and headed off to the dinner cruise. They didnt let us take pictures of the outside of the boat but inside they didnt mind I guess since everyone was taking pictures. Myself included...
The cruise was really neat, they had a buffet and we all ate then they had dancing which I did not participate in :P I took the pictures and talked to some people...

Then we left and got back to the hotel at about 11 or so and the next day with heavy hearts (or something like that) we headed home. We took a detour through New York (we were twelve miles away from the city Aiden Witmore lives in, at one point and then we got off the exit to go a different direction) and stopped at Niagra Falls which was basically a big waste of time. It took forever to get there and then it was freezing cold outside and we stayed for like half an hour before we left again. Not worth it. But anyways, yeah I got home at about 12:30.

I didnt want to leave... sure some of the kids were annoying but I love seeing exciting new places... Theres nothing exciting near where we live, nothing to do, so when I get to go places like D.C. or Vegas I don't want to leave and go back to my boring little city. There was so much we didnt get to see or do and so many kids I didnt get to talk to. I think technically I made a total of one friend on the trip :P I talked to other kids of course but only one of them really hung out with me on a regular basis. I also knew a couple of the kids from things before the trip so it wasn't that bad. But yeah. I'm home again... thank goodness its finally warming up, the weather was gorgeous over the weekend...

My dad brought up the idea of living in a motor home and that kind of made me sad at first for some reason. But after thinking about it and being in D.C. and wishing I could stay maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea. :P The only problem I could think of was never settling down, thus never making friends (not that I have any in the city we currently live in anyways) and never learning how to drive because I'd be terrified of driving a motor home x3 but that was about it.

Anyways yeah I'm back and I have a week of school to catch up on so I better go do that. You all should keep checking my photography blog for pictures of the Lipizzaners and D.C. :)

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls...

Yesterday evening Presbytera and Chaplain to the World were going to the Lipizzaner Stallion Show and thought of me. Sooo they were very nice and took me along. We got front row seats.
It was two hours long and through out the show the narrator gave us some history of the horses and whatnot and then the riders would do fancy stuff that I've always wished I could do. I took a total of 1072 pictures. The lighting was a pain to try and work with but I did get some good pictures. The show was pretty amazing, and if you ever get the chance to go, I say go because you'll never see anything like it...

I *think* according to some comments I saw on YouTube that there are two groups. One is from Florida, which is the one I think we saw, and the other one is from Austria. The Austrians have higher standards and only allow men in their riding school. (i *think*) The Florida group just recently started because it takes so long to train the horses.

For those of you who don't know, Lipizzaner horses are from Austria originally. Most of them are white, and they were specially bred as battle horses. They were taught moves to aid their rider in times of peril and as time wore on these maneuvers became more of an art form than for battle. They're beautiful horses, majestic and absolutely amazing. The moves they perform are from the discipline Dressage, which is like dancing with a horse. Its graceful and smooth and makes the horse and rider appear to be moving as one, with apparently little or no effort on the rider's part. The Lipizzaners are special because they can do things no other horses can do. At least not that I know of, other than their Spanish ancestors, the Andalusians. Some of these things involve standing on their hind feet and kicking their forefeet in the air, or leaping up ward and kicking out their back hooves. It's pretty spectacular.

The lead rider of the evening was Victor. (Viktor? I dont know how to spell it and I forgot his last name. Darn it.) Victor is my hero. x3 This is Victor. He changed like five different times and did different routines, it was pretty awesome.

Guilty Pleasure

I discovered I have a guilty pleasure...
Its model tv shows. Lol... In particular Make Me A Supermodel and America's Next Top Model. Now, we don't have cable so its not like I watch them all the time, but when I baby sit and I don't have anything better to do but watch tv (like when the kids are napping or playing quietly in the living room with me), lately either or both of the shows has been on. Make Me A Supermodel is ending on Thursday so they were playing all the old episodes for several days. So yeah I've seen a few episodes of each x3 I prefer Make Me A Supermodel over America's Next Top Model because ANTM is a bunch of girls and theres a bunch of girly drama and cat fights but with MMAS its guys and girls so theres more diversity when it comes to the photo shoots and the clothes and stuff.

I think part of it is that I know in every episode the models will have to do something with photographers and I love seeing what the photographers come up with. One day the models had to stand on sleds and stuff, another time they were in a tank of water with a snake, it was pretty cool...
And another part of me is kind of fascinated by the fashion world and how all that stuff works out.


This is Holly and she's awesome. She has really short hair so they always put wigs on her and stuff. In this shoot they were doing the different elements and she was fire. They didnt actually set her head on fire, :P They put a thing over her head and then set a dummy's head on fire and photo shopped it.


Ben, some chic and Perry, this shoot looked like fun because there was a lot of emotion involved. Perry sat by and insulted the chic and got her angry while Ben held her back...


Ronnie, he's one of the finalists. I didnt see the episode with these shots but they dressed up in bright clothes and had New York as the backdrop.

Ben, as the element wind. I thought it was cool they put a veil over him and blew wind at him and then took the picture. It was pretty creative...

Lucky 13

Today was the Science test. There were a couple I had to guess on and a couple I was unsure about but other than that it went okay. After the test we went to Lake Farm Park to see the lambs.

Tuesday we watched a ewe give birth... it was kind of gross but such is life right? :P It was also kind of fascinating. Obviously, what isn't fascinating about bringing new life into the world? One of the ladies who worked there had to help out, the lamb's shoulder was caught against the pelvis or something like that so she pulled on the tiny hooves and out came this little lamb. Today when we went to visit we found out that the ewe had another lamb after we had gone.



Both times we've visited the farm park there have been a group of retarded people there. I guess its like a class or something... but groups of retarded people make me sad. Mostly probably because I feel bad for them. One of the retarded guys blew me a kiss as he passed me in the hallway. I smiled at him. Lol, when I'm feeling down I just have to remember the retarded guy things I'm pretty :P Thats a real moral booster.

Anyways, moving on.

They had the two Clydesdales out in the arena today. The arena is right next to where the sheep pens are. So after I was done looking at the lambs I went over and hung out with them for a while. Clydesdales are amazing. Bigger horses are usually calmer and nicer in general I guess but I've always loved the clydesdales and shires especially. Then Sarah wasnt feeling well so we went home.


Lambs are so fun to take pictures of, I wish the lighting had been better inside...

That Heaven Is Overrated

Well okay, maybe not.
I thought aaaall of my eclipse pictures turned out horrible. And they did. Except for this one. I was shocked, lol. Because I can NEVER take decent pictures of the moon. But this turned out pretty good. Unfortunately my battery died so i didnt go back out later when more of the moon was red like that.

I went to the orthodontist today. I got a bigger wire on my top teeth so my teeth are a little sore. And apparently they were planning on "digging out" my adult tooth that has been hiding. Fortunately for me, it just barely started showing so they don't have to dig it out. They just have to pull the baby tooth. This adult tooth is apparently in a funny spot, almost on the roof of my mouth. My orthodontist compared fixing it to parallel parking a semi-truck. That sounds like fun. Oh and I got light blue bands today.

In venturing news, I thought we finally had a crew off the ground. Apparently not. The guy keeps encouraging me to talk to "all my friends" but I don't think he really gets it... at all. Then he had to torture me and tell me about this Venturing get-together thing in April where crews from all over get together, its Vegas themed and they have dances and games and stuff. I was writhing on the floor begging him to stop talking. lol. And he thought I was 14. That was mildly annoying.
So I might not ever get a venturing crew started. But I'm "more than welcome to join the boyscouts on their outings." Yay?

Im hungry. Again. So i'm gonna go get some soup or something...

Well friday we traded snowboarding for some field trip in Columbus.
It took forever to get there and was not worth it. At all. in the slightest.
Apparently I'm the only one who didn't enjoy myself. But whatever.
I did take a bunch of pictures and I kind of liked how these came out.

Year 15

“Year 15” as I’ve been calling it was chock full of some awesome stuff. So I decided to look back on all those awesome things to set the standards for year 16. :P Since that starts TOMMOROW. ;)

Last year for my birthday, my favorite radio DJ (Glenn the Funny Song Man) gave me a shout out and they all sang happy birthday to me on the radio. I had my best friend over. Then it started SNOWING and we had about 2 feet of snow and she was stuck at our house for a few days. That was kind of fun.

In February I started noticing how ugly my hair was :P

So I chopped it off.

I got to go to the radio station at the beginning of march and be on the radio. It was a lot of fun.

I had red hair in march! Inspired by Gina Glocksen from American Idol. Unfortunately it all washed out within a few months but it was awesome while it lasted.

Sporting the new red do I went out on a limb and entered a contest to meet the band Daughtry! I worked really hard on it ALL day!

It was exciting and nerve racking. I lost sleep for crying out loud!

I WON. For the first time in my life I really won something worth winning! And I got my first autograph from someone really famous!

I learned that celebrities aren’t always as great as I think they are. But I got over it after awhile.

A week later I made a resolution to come out of my "shy box" and I'm still working on it. :P

In May my dad won tickets to the coolest concert ever. My first rock concert! It was fun and I was introduced to my new favorite bands for the first time: The Academy Is and Cobra Starship.



And it turned into the biggest last minute scheme in the history of last minute schemes. My friend from Indiana came to my house with just a morning’s notice! And we went to the concert together. She ended up staying almost a whole week.

Fell in love with Gabe saporta’s purple hoodie and William Beckett’s crazy moves (and tight pants)

Spent my record high on a t-shirt. :P $25. but I couldnt NOT go to an awesome concert and leave without a t-shirt.
Got to meet the Budweiser Clydesdales later that week!

Foreshadowing? At the end of May I heard about the Nikon D40.

Mid-June I started volunteering at the nature center.

Went to my first Indian Pow Wow, it was kinda neat actually. A fun experience.

Near the end of June I became a Voyageur for a day! Also a fun experience. Thanks to the Nature center, since I was a volunteer I got in for free.

Also at the end of June, I went camping for the first time. Also thanks to the Nature Center.

Continuing on my mission to get out of my shy box, I applied for a job at the Cleveland Orchestra. And I got it! First job ever.

Went to a gig for Mr. Quipper’s cover band and met his brother (who is in a real band) and his girlfriend (now fiancé) who got to meet Jack Bauer. They were really nice.

Early July I was inspired by the The Academy Is’s photographer to be a band photographer for a living. So thats on the list of possible careers now :P

Later that week I entered in an ice cream eating contest where I was the only girl! I was in first for a while but fell behind and came up second.

Two days later I began my Orthodontia Adventure!!

Later I discovered my new favorite band, The Academy Is was coming to Cleveland!! $20 for tickets! Having crossed over to the dark side at Honda Civic Tour, I concocted a plan to go.

Mid July I was still not happy with my hair and so I took a risk (for me anyways) and chopped it all off!

And I’ve had it short ever since.

Apparently I’ve never taken off the Fall Out Boy t-shirt either. ;)

Mid July I went to my first Harry Potter gathering thingy… And stayed up until 2 am, the whole nine yards!

Was re-introduced to the Nikon D40 and decided it was what I wanted to spend all my money on.

A few weeks on the job I was slowly starting to lose my mind.
At work I was also mistaken for a guy for the first time, that was rather funny.

Mid August I took the test to get my driver’s permit. Failed. Ten days later I went back and passed! I drove for the first time and was pretty petrified but its not so bad. Most of the time. ;)

Early September we learned that we were all going to Vegas!! Thanks to my dad’s new job, they were sending him to a conference there and we were allowed to go along too!

The money was burning a hole in my pocket so I bought the Nikon d40.

near the end of September I spent the weekend at a friend’s house. Her dad is a firefighter and they were doing this practice thing. So I got to pretend like I was a victim of a car crash/radioactive materials. It was AWESOME.

VERY LAST DAY OF SEPTEMBER I BROKE MY CAMERA LENS. And a little piece of me died inside.

At the beginning of October I went to an Open House for school, met my teachers and got to dissect a pig! W00t. I also decided to join ski club.

WENT ON VACATION November 1-12^th. Amazing. Best vacation ever. Lets do it again.

Mid-November I went to an awesome concert. Cobra Starship had joined the crew and so it was even more awesome! I almost passed out, which is probably bad xD but it was still fun. I got to meet three guys from Cobra Starship so that was amazing. I got their autographs and pictures taken with them.

What?! I actually made a decision in a reasonable amount of time and got this cute dress for Christmas.

Early January we went for an impromptu appointment at the eye doctor’s. I got rid of my old ones that I’ve had for over 3 years now and got a modern, bold, cute new pair.

Later in January I got my braces on!

And we started Snowboarding! Its so much fun C:

So that’s about it for the excitement of year 15. But this April Im going to washing D.C. with my school, and this summer I’m going to Scranton PA for a conference. So we’ll see how year 16 goes :P
